Finca El Imperio: A Natural Refuge in the Colombian Andes
If a place has a history , it will remain in the memory for ever
More than 10,000 trees planted and a dozen animals rescued were part of this project which opened its doors to tourists from all over the world in 2018.
Although Gustavo Salamanca left us in March 2009, his love for Colombia and the ranch remains alive in our hearts. In some magical way, his spirit travels the world through the memories that Finca El Imperio leaves in our visitors.
Finca el Imperio is the beginning of the dream conceived by Gustavo Salamanca, a Colombian lawyer and perhaps a hipster in his day. In 1982 he acquired a ranch with a small house and breathtaking views that would have since become his true love.
Wow! This place is “an Empire” he exclaimed at the sight of that ranch. Since then , Don Gustavo called his ranch Finca El Imperio .
